"Wait, is this actually legit?"

I'm a 2nd-year student. Can I really sell projects on this?

Yes. As long as the project is genuinely yours and it actually works, age and year don't matter. Some of our top sellers are 2nd and 3rd year students who upload their semester projects after they're graded. You will need a PAN card to receive payouts beyond ₹2,500 (RBI requirement for any Indian payment platform — not our rule).

What if my project isn't 'production-grade'?

That's exactly the kind of project that sells. Buyers on Soldrd aren't shopping for industrial-grade equipment — they're early-stage startups, hobbyists, and other students who want a working prototype they don't have to build from zero. "Works and is documented" beats "perfect" every time.

How do I get paid? UPI? Bank transfer?

However you and the buyer agree. After a buyer unlocks your listing and contacts you, you negotiate directly. Once you agree on terms, they pay you via UPI (PhonePe, GPay, Paytm), bank transfer, or any method you're both comfortable with. Soldrd only collects the listing fee and unlock fee — the project payment goes straight to you.

What if a buyer ghosts me after unlocking?

They paid to unlock — so they were genuinely interested. Since payment for the actual project happens between you and the buyer directly, always use a verifiable payment method (UPI with a receipt, bank transfer with reference). Ship only after you receive confirmed payment. Soldrd's role ends at connecting you — the actual transaction is yours to manage.

Will my college / employer find out?

Not unless you tell them. Soldrd is a marketplace, not a public portfolio. Your listings are searchable, but they're tied to a username of your choice. Many of our sellers use pseudonyms while their day job continues uninterrupted. (If you're under contract that prohibits side work, you should check that contract first — that's between you and them.)

What if my project doesn't sell?

No harm done. Your first listing is free; nothing leaves your bank account. If your project doesn't get traction, we send you a free listing diagnostic — usually it's photos, pricing, or category fit. Most sellers' first projects sell within 30 days. Sellers who improve listings based on feedback sell within 10.
